Kasey's legal career spans 17 years. He began his career as the first law clerk for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Hon. Eileen W. Hollowell. In the summer of 2002 he joined the Bankruptcy practice group in the Tucson office of national law firm Quarles & Brady. He became a partner at Quarles & Brady in 2009. In 2013 Kasey joined Mesch Clark & Rothschild a prominent Arizona business and Chapter 11 bankruptcy firm. In 2015 he opened his solo practice.
